Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel - the rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. The service was top-notch; the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was ideal despite some minor inconveniences. The dining options were limited but still good value for money. Overall, a great experience with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel was a bit tired, but we were informed of upcoming renovations. Despite that, we were really looked after and will definitely stay here again in the spring, especially for the value compared to York center. Thank you, Peter, for making our stay fabulous! I highly recommend this hotel, especially for wedding guests at The Normans. We got more than we paid for; cheap but well above our expectations. Oh, and Tony, the night staff, even helped us into our room when we were a bit too tipsy – thanks, Tony!
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were exactly what we expect from Travelodge - big enough for my family of four, with very comfy beds and cleanliness. However, our room could have used a bit more attention in the bathroom area. The service was friendly and helpful during our stay. The location was fine for our needs, but not exceptional. The dining options were somewhat limited, mainly focused on quick bites. The facilities were adequate for our stay.
The hotel had a nice and large room, suitable for a family of 4, despite feeling and looking old with a dirty floor. I appreciated the spaciousness, but I did encounter a broken bed that I had to report to reception. The service started off friendly and welcoming but later declined, with an unfortunate incident of finding insects on my face and my child's clothes and skin at the reception.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, with excellent service and attention from the staff. The rooms were comfortable despite the old-style keys, which added a touch of charm. The location was convenient for exploring York and Leeds, though there was some litter around the area. The dining experience offered good value for money with delicious porridge and coffee deals, perfect for starting the day.
